Kevin William James Kirkness
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Kevin William James Kirkness, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, July 3rd, 2026.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Jim and Jean (Coll) Kirkness. Kevin leaves behind his devoted sister, Barb Kirkness; sister-in-law, Kerri Walker; cherished nephew, Nate; and beloved niece, Kinsey, who lovingly knew him as “Buncle.” He will also be deeply missed by his many cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Kevin was a devoted son, friend, cousin, and nephew whose kindness, loyalty, and generous heart touched the lives of many. He shared a special bond with his family, especially Nate and Kinsey, and treasured every moment spent with them.
After a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease, Kevin is now at peace. His struggle has ended, and he leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and love that will never be forgotten. His gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family would like to thank the PSWs, nurses, and Dr. Parker at Fairview Mennonite Home Shantz Wing for the compassionate care and dignity they provided Kevin.
A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Cara Ashworth, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
