My condolences to the family. I knew Doreen through slo-pitch and admired her for playing abilities. I will miss seeing her zipping around in her red truck and any saying “hi neighbour “ when our paths crossed. She was always friendly and had a smile on her face. The community has lost a very special person. Again, to the family so sorry for your loss.
Doreen was such an amazing human being. She brought life to the slo pitch diamonds and is now a true angel. My heart goes out to the Bye family and I know you will have many memories of this loving although feisty lady.

I remember Doreen fondly from our days working at SIAST. My condolences to her family.
Doreen was an energetic person in motion who was involved in helping so many others in so many ways. Without missing a year for 20+ years she called me on my birthday When she worked nights/evenings I would often find a gift on my desk the next morning. She enthusiastically complemented and encouraged others. Thank you Doreen.
I first met Doreen when we worked at Valley View Centre. Many years later, our paths crossed again at Johnstone’s Auction Mart. Doreen was a regular at the Saturday morning sales. Always looking for a treasure ! She came in with a big hello and took time to visit with everyone. She will be missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

Sincere sympathy to all the family. Doreen was an exceptional volunteer. When I was a coordinator for the Red Cross she was one of my faithfuls. I could always count on her every time no matter how big or small the task was. She’s leaving hard shoes to fill. Rest in peace Doreen.
I am so deeply saddened to read of Doreen’s passing. I’ve known her for many years. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who was as positive as what she was. There were no strangers in her life, rather, just potential friends. She will be so greatly missed.
Dodie, we are so happy to have known you, you were a great , kind soul. Condolences to her family and friends.
We are sorry to hear of the passing of Doreen. She always had a smile and was nice to visit with at the AAA Warriors games. Shane enjoyed teasing her. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom will never be forgotten by anyone who was fortunate enough to call her friend. Her zest for life and living was contagious, her ability to remember minute details always amazed me. She was an incredible woman who never shied away from anything or anyone, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She lived, loved and laughed often and well.
I met your mom a couple of times over several years, but saw her around many times. The room she was in would be warmer & more friendly. She always looked the leader in volunteer settings, take charge kinda woman (in a good way). I will miss her.
My sincere condolence to Doreen’s family and friends.
My condolences to Doreen’s family. I will miss her smiling face, twinkling eyes and mischief. ❤️
I’d like to extend my deepest condolences to the Bye family during this difficult time. I first met Dorreen back when I was in high school, she was very in volved in DeMolay and was a ray of light to our chapter. Later in life we crossed paths many times as she was an avid supporter of live music. She was always present at gigs where I played. Her sense of positivity and fair play preceded her everywhere she was. She’ll be missed by many. Rest in peace Dorreen and bless your soul.

Thoughts and prayers to Doreen’s family. Always smiling and cheerful
Sincere condolences to Doreen’s family. I had the opportunity to serve in the Canadian Red Cross with Doreen and witnessed first hand her high level of commitment to community service and her passion in assisting people in need. She was always a first choice to call when someone was needed immediately to assist individuals and families with emergency assistance. Whether it was a local situation or one that required her to travel to other locations, she always seemed to answer the call and make it work. Doreen commenced her exceptional volunteer Red Cross service answering the request for compassionate services as a member of the MJ Technical Collegiate Red Cross Youth Group in April 1954 when the Moose Jaw air crash occurred. She continued without a pause as an active member through the years as a Blood Clinic volunteer and Emergency Responder for the next 68 years and received the Order of the Red Cross for her efforts. Doreen set the bar high and was such a role model for others. Rest in Peace.
Wow! What a dash Doreen lived…one that is not easily duplicated! A very special mother and friend, but humans like her are extremely rare. We all have been blessed to be part of her kinship and love. She always made time to say a special hi to myself and our family. What a beautiful person she was… she will be missed! We join your family at this time of loss and reflection to share in celebration of her magnificent life!
We first met through the dance festival, where Doreen kept our girls safe from any intruders. Every election, walking grandchildren to school and every time there was a chance to dance.
She brightened the room with her smile wherever she went. She will be sorrily missed by all who knew her. She’ll make heaven a little brighter!
How sad I was to hear that Doreen has passed on. I’ve only been in MJ 6 years but she had quite an impact on my life starting when she ran across the paved street barefoot to welcome this newbie to the neighbourhood as I walked my dog. Whether it was working elections as my supervisor or picking up eggs she brought uncommon energy to every task and never failed to brighten my day. She was one of a kind and will be missed so much.
Our condolences to the entire Bye family. May your memories of Doreen bring you comfort at this time. Doreen was always enthusiastic and full of energy and these qualities were always on display whenever our paths would cross. Community minded and kindhearted she’ll be missed by many in our community. Rest in peace, Doreen.
Brian and Gwen Montague
We love you – always and forever.
Condolences to my old friends. Doreen was always welcoming to all the neighborhood kids on Valley View Drive. Every time I ran into her into her over the years (when I was back in Moose Jaw) , she greeted me with such a warm and welcoming smile and conversation, that she is easily one of the adults that I hold fond memories of from my childhood. I will always remember her kindheartedness. Sorry to hear of her passing.

My first memory of Doreen Bye is still in my mind. It was at a Cub scouts parent/son supper/luncheon at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican church. She was always connected to our South hill community. She was a person who noticed you.

My condolences to ‘The Bye Family’. I first met Doreen years back, when we both volunteered at The Mae Wilson Theatre. Since then, when ‘our paths’ crossed, she was always so friendly. A caring, kind person for sure, who will missed by many in Moose Jaw.
Rest in Peace❣️
Dear Kara and families,
My deepest sympathy to you all for this monumental loss. Losing Mom is so difficult. The world suddenly changes. Time will never replace her, but it does give us time to restructure and reflect on how lucky we were, and sometimes that eases the pain of loss. Take good care of yourselves and of each other. Godspeed to your Mom.

To Kara, John, Robert and your entire families, my heart is with you through this difficult time. I so miss your Mom, the best cousin in my life who so generously shared her time with me when I moved to Moose Jaw. She was the ever-ready battery in my life, so much energy and drive, like no other. I called her “Wonder woman” and she did it “her way”. She is and was a hard act to follow. God love every inch of her, as I am sure HE will.
I was so sad to hear that Moose Jaw has lost such a lovely and monumental person. Doreen was one of the most beautiful souls I have ever known.
I met her when I was a teenager. She was friends with my mum, so when she needed a babysitter, my mum took me to meet her. Wow! She blew me away. She was funny, kind, and so disarming. I instantly felt at ease with her. Even her kids –John, Robert, and Kara — were easy to babysit!
After I grew up and moved away, I would see Doreen only occasionally, when I was home visiting. But she was always happy to see me, and I am certain she was like this with everyone — kind, uplifting and affirming. And always so funny. I don’t know how she did it. I’ll miss her very much, as I’m sure so many people will. But for the family and close friends this must be an especially painful loss. My deepest condolences to you.
Our Deepest Sympathies to You Kara, John, Robert and Your Families
Doreen was a very Dear Friend she was one special Lady, she helped us so much at St Mary’s Romanian Orthodox Church since the day we took over the Responsibilities. Doreen came every time we went to clean and cut the grass I am not sure how I Will be able to manage without her.
We would help her at St Peter and St Paul’s Bell Tower cutting grass and cleaning to help repay all the help she gave us. Doreen helped me a great deal during my time of need. We had a very nice farewell on Facebook . Our Prayers and Thoughts are with You Kara, John and Robert and All Your Families
