CLIFFORD HARLEY WILDER

October 23rd, 1951 – June 17th, 2025

Clifford Harley Wilder of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, after facing stage four metastatic cancer with quiet strength and dignity.  He was 73 years of age.

Clifford was known for his selfless spirit.  He consistently put the needs of others ahead of his own, never seeking recognition or praise.  His greatest act of love was the devoted care he gave to his beloved wife of 40 years, Elaine, during her time of need — always without complaint.

Clifford was friendly, outgoing, and, as those who knew him best would say with a smile, a little stubborn too.  Clifford had a deep love for his community and was always ready to offer a helping hand.  Over the years, he formed lasting friendships with neighbours who came to rely on his warmth, wisdom, and quiet generosity.

Clifford found great joy in the simple things — coffee shared over long visits with his children and grandchildren, time spent outdoors fishing or hunting and working in his shop where he crafted beautiful furniture with great skill and care.

Clifford’s strength and presence was a gift to all who knew him, and his memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to his family and friends.

While he awaits Resurrection, his family will imagine him now — tackle box in hand, casting his line into peaceful waters, saying with a grin, “Don’t worry, I’ve got the best fishing spot staked out for when we’re all together again.”

A Private Family Service will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

So sorry to hear about Cliff. We knew each other since we were kids. He always loved to joke around. Went to his house and had coffee different times with Cliff and his wife and got eggs from him also. He will be so missed what a nice person he was.

We are shocked , and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Cliff. Brian and Cliff were childhood friends and neighbours who spent many happy hours together. I have heard many stories from Brian about he and Cliff’s adventures. Our deepest sympathy to all of Cliff’s family and friends on his passing. Cherish your happy memories you have of him. We hope in time these memories will bring you strength, hope, and peace. He is now re-united with his beloved Elaine. Take care.

Our deepest condolences to all the family. Burleigh and I were one of the lucky neighbours who came to rely on Cliff in more ways than we can possibly count. He will always be remembered and missed. Our life on second avenue will never be the same. Rest in peace Cliff. You are back with your beloved.
