Marilyn Ann Torgerson

Marilyn Ann Torgerson passed away on Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at the age of 74 years at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, SK after a short battle with cancer.  Marilyn was born on February 22nd, 1947 in Coronach, SK to Purl and Thelma Munn.

We offer a special thanks to John Sognesand for bringing so much joy and happiness to Marilyn this past year.

She was predeceased by her mother, father, and siblings; and son-in-law, Rod.  Marilyn is survived by her children: Twyla (Terry), Willie, Chrystal (Chris), and Sherri (Rob); grandchildren: Terry, Kayde, Tayler, Kolton, Tianna, Christian, Mackenzie and Olivia; brother, George (Diane); sister, Gladys; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn enjoyed playing board and card games, travelling, cooking, baking, camping and spending time with her friends and family.  She spent her early career working with troubled youth, went on to complete her CCA, and finished her career working with seniors for the last 25 years.

We would like to say a special thanks to the staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for assisting Marilyn and family through this very difficult time.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a Private Family Service will be held.  Friends and Family are invited to view the service virtually on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  Flowers and donations are gratefully declined.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

We are saddened to hear of Marilyn’s passing. She was our neighbour in Congress and we shared many coffee times. She was a lovely lady, gone far too soon.

I sure will miss having chats with her. I remember her when she was my “sister in law” back in Ontario. We sure had some good times. I will take those memories and wrap myself around them always. Rest In Peace Marilyn. You were the most kind and warm hearted person I have known.
