Leonard Thomason
It is with deep regret and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Leonard Thomason on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. Leonard was born on March 11th, 1948.
Leonard is survived by his brother, Neil; sisters-in-law: Gloria, Thelma, and Merle; as well as his many cherished neighbourhood friends of South Hill.
Affectionately known as “Boo,” Leonard was our quiet Skipton Road guardian. He saw all, heard all, and watched over us with steady, caring presence. Leonard found great joy in the outdoors, especially in his yard, where he spent countless hours gardening, tending to his flowers, and simply sitting outside —always ready to ask about your day or share a warm conversation.
Leonard had a deep and abiding love for animals. He spoiled them endlessly, as they were truly his family. In many ways, Leonard was family to all of us. A true friend to the neighbourhood, he lovingly looked after his neighbours’ homes and yards while they were away, faithfully watering gardens, flowers, and lawns with joy and care.
He treated his close neighbours’ children and grandchildren as his own, never missing a holiday — whether Halloween, Easter, or Christmas — always ensuring they felt remembered and loved. Leonard was thoughtful, kind, and full of laughter, and he genuinely cared about the well-being of everyone around him.
Leonard will be forever missed and lovingly remembered as a devoted neighbour, a wonderful friend, and to all of us on Skipton Road, our favourite guardian.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date to honour Leonard’s life and the lasting place he will always hold in our hearts. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
That is a wonderful tribute to a beautiful life.
