Joseph Byron Thiessen
Joseph Byron Thiessen, aged 49 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 13th, 2026, from complications of double pneumonia.
Joe was born on June 9th, 1976, in Moose Jaw and attended Ross and Sunningdale Elementary Schools, followed by A.E. Peacock High School. After completing high school, Joe worked a variety of jobs before discovering his lifelong passion for trucks. What began as working on and driving trucks grew into a career that later included custom trucking and hauling, a pursuit he truly enjoyed.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Henry and Lydia Thiessen, and James and Marjorie Tarrant; aunt, Judy Thiessen; and uncles, Malcolm and Ivan Tarrant. Joe will forever be remembered by his loving wife of twelve years, Tracy Thiessen (née: Fryklund); children, Lincoln and Natalie; parents, Bernie and Sharlene Thiessen; sister, Angela Taylor; and his father and mother-in-law, Brian and Terry Fryklund.
Joe will be remembered for his wit, determination, and quick mind, as well as his deep devotion to his family and his love for Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Joe was a man of his word who enjoyed campfires, hot tubs, quadding, the gym, and giving those close to him a hard time.
A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held on Monday, April 20th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Free Methodist Church, 375 Hochelaga St W in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Pastor Joel Wells will officiate, and a private family interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Joe to a GoFundMe established for the support of his beloved children, 11-year-old Lincoln and 9-year-old Natalie. https://gofund.me/3906e3d70
