Peter Allan Smith
Peter Allan Smith, aged 80 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, October 18th, 2025. Peter was born in London, Ontario on March 18th, 1945. He proudly began his military service in 1964, serving across Canada in Saint Jean, PQ, Borden, ON, Gimli, MB, Rivers, MB, Toronto, ON, Egypt, and finally in Moose Jaw, SK. It was in Rivers, Manitoba, in 1966, that Peter met the love of his life, Sharon Latcham. They were married in 1967, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and dedication. Together they raised two beautiful children, Sheree and Brian.
Peter was an avid curler and loved the camaraderie and competition the sport brought him over the years. A true sports enthusiast, he was a devoted Boston Bruins fan and rarely missed watching a Saskatchewan Roughriders game. Even in his last days he always found a way to show his true colors, including telling his wife to put her ears in and snickering at his daughter after pulling a funny one.
He was predeceased by his mother, who he called Ethel Baby (1998); infant daughter, Laura Lee (1967); and four beloved furry family members: Fang, Brandy, Buddy, and most cherished of all, Pepe, who all held a special place in his heart. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sharon; his beautiful daughter, Sheree (Eldon) and her children Jarred, Reed, and Hannah Duncan; his handsome son, Brian (Angela) and their children Brett, Tyson, Nora, and Everly Smith; all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
In keeping with Peter’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten for his quick wit.
“I’ll never forget ya”

Deepest sympathy to Sharon and family. Worked with Pete and have fond memories of what a great guy he was. I had just returned to work from maternity leave and had trouble with the babysitter and Pete was very understanding and supportive. Carol
