Terry Stewart Sjoberg
January 9th, 1955 – March 20th, 2026
Terry Stewart Sjoberg, aged 71 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, March 20th, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Terry was born and raised in Moose Jaw and was one of eleven children.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Margaret Sjoberg; brothers: Wayne, Douglas, Darrel, and Dennis; and sister, Bev. Terry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brothers, Clayton and Jerry; sisters: Gloria, Darlene (David), and Wendy (Brad); as well as countless nieces, nephews, extended family members, neighbours, and friends.
Although Terry was born with challenges, he faced adversity with strength and determination and went on to live a full and independent life. He contributed meaningfully to those around him and had a deep love for his family and friends. Terry was especially proud of his independence, and in July 1983 he travelled on his own to London, England, a remarkable example of his courage and adventurous spirit.
Over the years, Terry worked at a number of places where he formed many dear friendships, including Dutch Bakery, Canadays, and Murray’s Signs. He enjoyed simple pleasures and special routines, especially his coffee visits at McDonald’s. Terry also loved playing cards, bowling, gardening, and visiting with others. He had an incredible memory for people and was always quick to recognize a familiar face and make a connection.
Terry was involved in his church community, where he built many meaningful friendships. He was always helpful, kind, and willing to lend a hand, and he will be remembered for his warm heart, perseverance, and the way he quietly touched the lives of so many.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Centre, 916 Brown Street, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. A private family burial will be held at Sunset Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Terry’s memory may be made to the New Life Centre, 916 Brown Street, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2Z2.
