Scott Andrew Shepherd

January 15th, 1978 – November 22nd, 2025

Scott Andrew Shepherd aged 47 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025.  Scott grew up in Moose Jaw, where his love of hockey shaped many of his childhood memories and friendships.  After graduating from Peacock High School, Scott went on to study at Lethbridge College.  Life took him to Calgary, AB and then to Vernon, BC, but he eventually returned to his hometown, where he found a true sense of belonging.

For the last five years, Scott took great pride in his work as part of the maintenance crew at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park.  He found joy in the outdoors and tended his garden with care, especially his sunflowers, and could always be found cheering on his favorite sports teams.  Whether he was mountain biking on a back trail or riding waves on his surfboard, Scott lived for adventure and cherished time spent in nature.

He was predeceased by his mother, Dianne Shepherd.  Scott will be lovingly remembered by his father, Andy Shepherd; sister, Jamie Skagen (Clayton); brother, Rob Shepherd (Karin); nieces, Calli Skagen and Becca Shepherd; and nephews, Ben Shepherd (Julia) and Alex Shepherd.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Monday, December 1st, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Friends and family are invited to come together in remembrance, to share stories, and to honor Scott’s memory.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  Reverend Robert Shepherd will officiate in a private family interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Scott’s name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1400-522 University Ave, Toronto, ON M5G 2R5.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Michelle Ellis, Director 306-693-4550

Sheppy was always great to my parents when they were going to Rips in the early 2000’s. I personally only met him a few times. You can also tell by the friends he left behind that Sheppy was a great human! We will be missed by many.

Many condolences from the entire Shaddock Family
    Regards,
    Mike

Oh James (Jamie), so so sorry that Scott left this life far too soon. One has to believe that God has a plan. Can’t imagine what you, your brother and dad are going through, and all who loved Scott. Funny story, do you remember at your wedding when Scott and Jeremy were missing —- and where Clayton found them? Ha, ha, If you forget, I’ll remind you in person. I had the privilege of getting to know Scott as an adult these past couple of years: pleasant, kind person and so very helpful, he really was so task-oriented and took great pride in doing tasks skillfully. Love you and Clayton beyond measure. Pass on heartfelt warm wishes to your dad and brother. Heart is broken for you and your family xxxxxooooo
