1943-2026
It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of Chuck. He passed away at the Regina General Hospital on July 18, 2026 following a short illness.
He was born in Lawson Saskatchewan and raised in Moose Jaw, one of 16 children.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years Carol; stepdaughter, Cathy Dixon; grandchildren Kaytlyn Dixon, and Christopher Dixon (Bozana); great grandchildren, Barry and Violeta of Brantford, Ontario and stepson, Jim Hunchuk (Nikki) of Hussar, Alberta. Chuck is also survived by brother, Doug Schulties; brother-in-law, Dave Newman; sister-in-law, Pat Murphy and brother-in-law, Ed Parker from Calgary. Also left to mourn are numerous nieces and nephews all of whom he liked to tease.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and David Schulties; brothers: Gordon, Walter, Elmer and Ken; sisters: Ruth, Julia, Doris, Martha, Francis, Dorothy, Jenita, Shirley, Donna and Betty.
Chuck worked for Department of National Defence in Chilliwack until he was injured. He and Carol retired back to Moose Jaw in 2001. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and enjoyed going to the meat draws. He loved watching Roughriders football. He shall be missed by all that knew him.
As per Chuck’s wishes, no Funeral Service will take place. Interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Cara Ashworth, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

I met Chuck when I recognized his ‘Doc Forbes’ tattoos, a Vancouver tattoo artist who started on the 1920’s. A visit with Chuck, was always a ‘great’ visit. RIP Chuck
