Edward David Sayer

The family of Edward David “Chicoose” Sayer of Moose Jaw, SK and formerly of Lestock, SK, sadly announce his passing on Monday, March 30th, 2026 at the age of 81 years.  David was born in Lestock, SK on December 11th, 1944.  He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Jean Hunter and Louis “Dougie” Sayer; brothers: Frank, George, Joe, and Henry; and sisters: Mary, Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Kathy.  David is survived by his sister, Stella and special friend, Gloria; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  

In his early years David lived in Lestock and Punnichy, SK where he discovered his love of music and learned to play the fiddle.  He was a great fiddle player and would often be seen playing at many different celebrations.  

To honor David’s memory, a memorial will be held on Saturday, April 11th, 2026 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Muskowekwan Urban Office located at #206, 1102 – 8th Avenue in Regina, SK.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
