Violet Virginia Sapergia

It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Violet Virginia Sapergia on Saturday, October 1st, 2022 at the Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 94 years.  Violet was born to Horace and Annie Andrews on December 17th, 1927 in a farm house in the Sweet Grass District in the R.M. of Caron, SK.  She was predeceased by her husband, Paul; her parents, 5 siblings, 2 half siblings, and great-grandson, Scott.  Violet leaves behind her daughter, Paulett Sapergia; son-in-law, Chuck French; granddaughters, Lorna (Trevor) Conquergood, and Marlo (Lee) Morelli; great-grandchildren: Lauren, Julia, Nicholas, Renelle, Martine and Reese; sister, Bernice; and half-sisters, Olive and Marilyn.  Violet will be dearly missed but never forgotten.  

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Celebrant Dave Foley will officiate and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  Those unable to attend may view the service virtually by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Violet may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

    My deepest sympathy to Paulette and family.Your Mom was a star in all our lives.I have missed her greatly since she moved from Moose Jaw and will miss her more now.Always in my thoughts.Hugs to you all.

    I had meant Vi a few times and I know she was a great friend to my brother Ronn and my mom Thora.

    My very deepest sympathies on Vi’s passing.
    I knew Vi and Paul for many years and never saw Vi that we didn’t stop and have a chat to catch up.
    She was a great person and I know you will miss her so much.
    May she rest in peace.

    Oh my heart is saddened to hear the passing of Vi. Paulette and family I feel your sorrow. Many years of family fun and history.
    Vi will be with Paul now. They were the high light of my memories.

    I am so sorry to hear of Vi’s passing. I knew her and Paul through Bea ( Sapergia) Balfour. I also saw her at Timothy Eaton’s. She always took the time to visit and give a hug. She was a wonderful person.

    I am sorry to her of Vi’s passing. I missed her after she moved to Saskatoon. She was always very kind to me, as she was to everyone. She was a lovely lady. My sincere condolences to Bernice, Paulett and the family.

    Sweet memories of our “Auntie Purple” who offered the best hugs, chats and made everyone feel welcome! Auntie Violet, we miss you but now you share your joy with all in heaven!! Our sympathies and love to all family and friends who feel such loss yet celebrate you and the beautiful ways you touched so many lives!

    So sorry we couldn’t come to VI’s funeral. Orv wasn’t feeling well & I am crippling around. We watch the service on line & it was lovely.Our thoughts & hearts are with you.
