Edythe Ellen Russell born November 4, 1935, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw, SK. with her family by her side.
Edythe was predeceased by her father, William James Russell; mother, Mary Hayden Russell; brother, Bill Russell; sister, Alice Saville and brother-in-law, Gord Saville.
Edythe is survived by her children: Lorne Gould (Lucie), Connie Smith (Les), Patti Smyth (Doug), Bob Gould (Linda), Ronnie Gould, Doug Gould (Diane), Karen Yurkowski (Brian) and Debbie Cossette (Louis); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: Jack Russell (Kim) and Dave Russell (Julie) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Edythe’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Golden Age Center in Redvers, SK. Rev. Michelle Moore will officiate. A private family interment will take place prior to her Celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edythe’s name may be made to a local food bank or to Five Hills Health Region/Pioneer Lodge 1000 Albert St. Moose Jaw, SK S6H 2Y2. The family would like to express thanks and gratitude to the staff of Pioneer Lodge for the wonderful care given to our mother over the past six years.
