FRANCES IRENE RUSHWORTH

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Frances Irene Rushworth on Monday, June 3rd, 2025, at the Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.  Frances was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Charlene Rushworth, who passed just days before her mother.

Frances was the cherished wife of Gerald Rushworth, with whom she shared 66 years of love, laughter, and partnership.  She was a devoted mother to her five children: Rachelle (Glen) Bistretzan, Charlene Rushworth, Beverly Rushworth (Adam Klein), Sharon (Scott) Mayall, and Terry Rushworth (Carol Monette).  Frances was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Jennie Morrow (Kelly) – children Sydney and Clark, Drew Pearson (Kristyna Kachmar) – children Cole and Casie, Anica Bistretzan and Chase Bistretzan, Jaylen Mayall, Marcus Mayall (Carissa) and their son Malikai, all of whom she loved dearly.

Born and raised in Arcola, Saskatchewan, Frances spent her early years with her parents and brother.  She later married Gerald, and together, they made homes in Estevan, Swift Current, Regina, and eventually settled in Moose Jaw, SK, where she spent the remainder of her life.

A graduate of Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina, SK, Frances had a fulfilling career as a nurse, serving her community with kindness, expertise, and compassion.  She was also a volunteer at Saint Aidan’s Anglican Church where her caring nature was appreciated by all who knew her.

Frances was a remarkable woman — caring, loyal, and hardworking.  She dedicated herself to her family, always putting them first and offering love, wisdom, and support to all.  She will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Funeral Service to honor Frances will be held on Friday, June 20th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, 124 1st Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ongoing efforts of Saint Aidan’s Anglican Church, in recognition of Frances’ dedication to her faith and community.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
