Larie Edward Rolston

With heavy hearts the family of Larie Edward Rolston announce his passing on Monday, April 6th, 2026, at the age of 85 years.  He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.

Larie will be remembered for his smile and unforgettable laugh.  He always had a joke ready, and his sense of humour was a gift he shared, leaving behind countless cherished memories.

Larie was a man who embraced life fully.  Whether he was out fishing, enjoying a game of cards, or spending time at the lake, he found joy in the simple, meaningful moments.  He had a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the world and would often be seen capturing photos of trees, sunsets, flowers, the moon – all of nature at it’s finest.

Even through the many health battles he faced over the years, Larie showed incredible strength and resilience.  He fought hard, but more than that, he chose to meet life with positivity, courage, and a smile that never faded.

Above all, Larie loved his family deeply.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to him, and he took great pride in each of them.  The love he gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

He lived, he learned, he loved – he lived a life well lived.  Larie will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.

He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Inez; in-laws, Camron and Jean MacDonald; infant daughter, Carrie Rae; sister-in-law, Carol Rolston; brothers-in-law, Neil Palmer and Dick Bell; and grandson, Jordon Rolston.  Larie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Louise; daughter, Wendy (Danny); grandchildren: Jared, Bradly (Shawna), Dakota, and Dalena (Braeden); daughter, Melissa (Darren); grandchildren: Courtney (Nickolas), Cassie, and Janelle (Kyle); great-grandchildren: Alivia, Lex, Silas, Jace, Rhett, Skylah, Zayden, Lylah, Vaedah, Emelia, and Elliott; sisters, Norma Palmer and Christine Jones; brothers, Doug (Jan) Rolston and Dave Rolston; sisters-in-law, Shirley Bell and Peggy Poudrier as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Special Thank You’s to Dr. King, the Palliative and Home Care nurses, and Hillcrest Pharmacy staff for all the special attention given over the past months.

Friends and Family are invited to a Celebration Luncheon on Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Those not able to attend may view the service by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/.
