BETTY LUCINDA NICHOLS (née: Busch)
January 20th, 1931 – November 4th, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty Lucinda Nichols, on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at the age of 94 years. Betty was born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where she lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family and friends.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Eldon; son, Randy; son-in-law, Wayne Brown; brothers: Robert Busch, Ed Busch (Lois), Louie Busch (Bernice), and Ron Busch (Lynda); sister, Anna Sawchuk (Butch); and brother-in-law, Reg Peach. Betty is survived by her sister, Ruth Peach (Boots); her children, Rick and Cindy (Brian); grandchildren: Shae (Tamra), Jerrod (Kirsten), Beau (Carrie), Chelsea (Brad), Teasha (Tyson), Owen (Dallas), Ashley, and Brandon (Brianna); as well as sixteen great-grandchildren.
Betty was a family-oriented woman whose home — and especially her kitchen — was always open to anyone in need of a warm meal or good company. She worked for many years at Valley View Centre and Extendicare in Moose Jaw before retiring at age 65. In her retirement, Betty enjoyed travelling to visit family, bowling, exploring garage sales, and canning the produce from her garden. Always on the go, Betty was never too busy to pause for a good drink and a heartfelt visit with family and friends.
Betty’s kindness, laughter, and love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, November 12th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery, followed by a Time of Fellowship in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
