SHERRI-LEE AGNES NAGEL

October 5th, 1960 – September 27th, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sherri-Lee Agnes Nagel (née: Cook) announces her passing on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at 4:38 p.m. after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Sherri was born on October 5th, 1960, the daughter of Joseph and Sharon Cook, in Regina, Saskatchewan.  She spent her childhood camping with her parents and siblings, and enjoyed horseback riding, exploring nature and loved all its creatures, especially wolves.

Sherri married Ron Nagel and had six children before they divorced.  She lived in various places in Saskatchewan, including Regina, Pilot Butte, Lajord, Earl Grey, Gray, Tuffnell, and her final years in Moose Jaw.  Sherri spent the most time living in Earl Grey and felt most at home living in rural areas.

Sherri was artistic with a free spirit and was very strong willed.  She lived her best life in nature and loved camping, gardening, fishing, thunderstorms, exploring nature, and finding pretty rocks.  She felt most at home in the forest with all its creatures.  Her spirit animal was a wolf, and she collected many wolf themed items.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Sharon Cook; and nephew, Ryan Cook.  Sherri will be dearly missed and survived by her six children: Brandi (Travis) Rumbolt, Jason (Kristie) Nagel, Chantel (Topher) Plosker, Ashlee (Brian) Nagel, Shayla (Kolton) Nagel, and Kyra (Chris) Nagel; grandchildren: Faith, Isaiah, Aidan, Lincoln, Micah, Ezra, Acacia, Edan, Jaxon, and Isaac; brother, Warren (Andrea) Cook; sister, Robyn Cook; and cousins: Kellie, David, and Billie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Sherri’s family would also like to extend our thanks to the staff of Chez Nous Care Home, as well as a very special thank you to Crescent Park Care Home for their exceptional care and compassion in Sherri’s final years and moments.  Kristen, Michaela, and Angela your extra special care means more to our family than you could ever know.  Sherri’s final days were spent surrounded by the children she was so proud of holding a vigil and refusing to leave her side.

A Private Family Service will be held to honour Sherri.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Sherri’s name may be made to Crescent Park Villa, 134 Athabasca St E, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 0L4. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
