Joseph Neil Morrison

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Joseph Neil Morrison on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025 in Moose Jaw, SK, at the age of 71 years.

He was predeceased by his father, Henry (Hank); mother, Ruth (Tomson); and brother, Jack.  Joe leaves to mourn, his brother, Ron (Janice) Morrison; sister, Pat Kashmere; sister-in-law, Coleen Morrison; and families; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Joe was born April 24th, 1954 in Regina, SK.  He was raised in Regina with his 3 siblings.  In his early years, Joe enjoyed golfing and fishing at Regina Beach where he spent summers with his family.  Joe enjoyed reading, movies, books, and playing pool.  Tuesday nights he could be found at Dooly’s playing pool; he always said he wasn’t that good but enjoyed it.

Joe graduated from STI in 1971 and started work at Golf’s Steak House in Regina for about 10 years.  Joe then went to work as a baker for Loblaws for 40 years!  He originally worked at the Ok Economy, then the Superstore in Regina, then Moose Jaw Superstore until his retirement in 2019.  During that time, he had returned to Regina for a short time to care for his mom.  After retirement Joe worked for the Co-op Gas Bar for a couple of years.

Joe was a very kind and generous person.  He was a regular blood donor, with an impressive 222 donations over 34 years, ending in 2010.  He loved to spend time with family and had many life-long friends, as well as many newer ones.

A Celebration of Joe’s Life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Shirese Noble Funeral Director 306-693-4550

My heartfelt condolences to Joes family and friends. I worked with Joe for many years and we just recently had a chat at the store. I will miss seeing him and having our chats.

Farewell my friend. We traveled a few roads together over the many years. One wonders how time moved so fast, seems like only yesterday we were sitting having a cup of tea – with crackers on the side. You were always there for everyone when you were needed!
    Rest easy Joe
