Ivan Monkhouse
The family sadly announces the sudden passing of Ivan on Monday, March 5 th 2007 at his home. Ivan was born in Keighley, England on October 28 th, 1941. At the age of 15 he came to Canada with his mother Sarah. He lived on the Harold Watkinson farm while he finished school. After graduation, he moved to Vernon B.C. to live with his uncle Tom Monkhouse while apprenticing at the Vernon Daily News as a printer. He is survivrd his brother, Jim(Joyce) Monkhouse, his sister Betty Mitchell; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and one great great niece and the Watkinson family in Canada . Ivan was predeceased by sister Mary in childhood, his father Bill in 1950, his step-father Harold Watkinson in 1982, his niece Louise Mitchell in 1991, his mother Sarah in 2005 and brother-in-law John Mitchell in 2005. In keeping with the wishes of the family there will be no funeral service, cremation with interment to follow at a later date.
