Marilyn Joyce Moerike
April 10th, 1935 – April 11th, 2026
The family is sad to announce the passing of Marilyn Joyce Moerike, aged 91 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Marilyn passed peacefully on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, surrounded by love, after a four-year battle with dementia. Marilyn was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma (GG). She will be deeply missed but is now at rest and in a better place.
Marilyn is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Charlie; son, Greg (Jan) and their children Scott (Lindsay) and Chase, Stacey (Ryan) Skorobohach and Hudson; and daughter Leanne Moerike.
Words cannot express our deep and undying gratitude to the staff at the Moose Jaw Special Care Home for their stellar care of Mom over the years. You were her family in the times we weren’t there and we appreciate everything you did to make her life more comfortable. Special thanks to the Mulberry Estates and Debbie, as well as Helen, Perry and the drivers at Capone’s Taxi for always ensuring Dad had a way to be with Mom every single day. Your friendships and support of Dad went above and beyond, and all your efforts are truly appreciated.
At Marilyn’s request, there will be no service. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Moose Jaw Humane Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
