RONALD “RON” KEITH MITCHELL

May 11th, 1941 – October 8th, 2025

Ronald “Ron” Keith Mitchell, aged 84 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, with his beloved granddaughter by his side.

Born on May 11th, 1941, in Port Arthur, Ontario, Ron lived a full and vibrant life.  He was a devoted father to his children — Keith, Glen, Elaine, Connie, and Kathy — and a cherished brother to Marlene, Joe, Dick, and Mike.  He was a proud grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and uncle to many cherished nieces and nephews.  His love warmly extended to the spouses and partners who joined and enriched the family over the years.

Ron was predeceased by his parents, Earl and Annie; his siblings: Robert, Jim, Joan, and Tom; and by his spouse, Willie — his lifelong partner and kindred spirit, with whom he shared countless adventures and deep companionship.  Together, after their retirement, they spent many winters traveling to British Columbia, creating memories that Ron held close to his heart after her passing.

A retired man with a zest for life, Ron found joy in simple pleasures.  He was an avid golfer, a gracious host to friends and family, and a lifelong lover of music — especially the classic crooners.  He was well known in the family for his fond reminder to “listen to the words” when a favorite song played — a phrase that now echoes as a gentle reminder of his thoughtful spirit.

He also leaves behind countless friends who held a special place in his life — far too many to name, but each one deeply valued.  Whether sharing stories over a cup of coffee or bonding over a favorite drink, golfing together, or simply enjoying each other’s company as neighbors who became like family, Ron treasured those connections and the memories made with them.

Ron leaves behind a tapestry of treasured memories and moments that will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  His presence, warmth, and wisdom will be missed more deeply than words can fully express.

A private gathering will be held to honour his life.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
