Sherry Lynn (Huber) McKenzie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Lynn (Huber) McKenzie on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Dr. F.H Wigmore hospital in Moose Jaw.
Born to parents, Robert and Audrey Huber, on June 2, 1957, in Regina. At a very young age the family moved to Moose Jaw where she attended school at Ross Elementary and Peacock High School where she enjoyed drama and was part of the Peacock Musical, The Sound of Music, which almost every year she would look forward to watching the musical on television.
After high school she went to work for food services at STI. In 1976 she met the love of her life, Alvin and the two married on November 18, 1978. On June 1, 1979, our son Curtis was born, followed by our daughter Kayla on January 1, 1989. Both were the joy of her life. In October 1979 we moved into our new home in Sunningdale where she resided until her passing.
Sherry spent many days in her happy place at Buffalo View Campground where she met and enjoyed the many friends she had made as well as the many friends she made over her lifetime. Family was always a big part of her life and she will be missed very dearly by all of her aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews and many close friends.
Sherry was predeceased by her mother, Audrey Huber. She is survived by her father, Robert Huber; sister, Sandra Huber with nephew, Kyle; Husband, Alvin; Son, Curtis (Sherie); daughter, Kayla; grandchildren: Chace (Michaela), Jade (Tanner), Jermie, Jaxson, and Ember; great grandchildren: Cruz and Lakelyn as well as her fur baby, Tigger.
In keeping with Sherry’s wishes, a Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Eagles Hall, 561 Home Street West. So very saddened to hear of the repose of this Dear Soul. When Sherry loved someone, she really loved you.
She always mentioned her beautiful children in a conversation and how they were doing.
Grandkids… well, that was a whole another story. She loved you all so.
Heart broken for you all. Far too young to leave you.
Her Memory will be Eternal.
I send my sincere condolences during this time of sorrow. The Bible gives a comforting hope that your loved one will come to life again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4.
