MICHAEL TODD LUKE
September 24th, 1977 – October 22nd, 2026
Michael Todd Luke was born on September 24th, 1977 and passed away at the age of 49 years on October 22nd, 2026, with his dear friends Sherri and Richard by his side.
Mike’s first home was in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. In the fall of 1980, he moved to the Luke family farm near Crane Valley, SK with his mom and dad and this is where he spent the rest of his childhood. When he was little, Mike loved riding in the tractor with his dad. His special spot was the rear window ledge in the tractor cab, from where he had a good view of what was being pulled behind the tractor, which intrigued him.
At a very young age Mike showed interest in mechanical things. He loved helping Grandpa Walter make things with the Mechano set. When he got to be a bit older, he received a construx set and he was off creating his own things that included using wheels, pulleys, etc.
Mike attended Crane Valley School from Kindergarten to Grade 11 and then took his Grade 12 at Peacock Collegiate in Moose Jaw, SK. It was there that he took a mechanics class and won a mechanics competition. After graduating from high school, Mike worked as a mechanic at a few different places. The business that he worked at the longest was The Wrench Ranch in Moose Jaw.
Mike obtained his 1A Driver’s License and worked for a few different farmers. During the last years of his life, he was a member of the R&S Restaurant family.
Mike was always a bit of a dare devil which really came to light when he got his first motor bike. The things he could do on that bike were unreal. It was like he and the bike were one. He was also an animal lover and he especially liked cats. In fact, he had 3 cats – Babee, Binx, and Roo when he passed away. He really enjoyed living on the acreage the last few years as he had a lot of animals to love.
Mike will be missed and forever loved by his parents, Ron and Elayne Luke; brother, Tim Luke; sister-in-law, Vanessa Luke; niece, Brenna (Kyle) Luke; nephew, Shane Luke; aunts, Colleen Pollard and Diane Luke; as well as his special friends, Richard and Sherri Goddard.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
