Brian Eugene Joseph Hordichuk

It was with indescribable sadness, yet comfort in knowing Brian Eugene Joseph Hordichuk is now walking with Jesus, that we announce his passing on Saturday, May 16th, 2026, at the age of 63 years.  Brian was reunited in Heaven with his father, Eugene.  Brian is survived by the love of his life of 11 years, Colleen; his daughter, Katelyn and her children Addison and Asher; stepchildren, Janelle (Dakota) and Brendon (Kristeen); mother, Shirley; sisters: Brenda, Kim (Joe), and Karen (Kelly); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Church, 60 Athabasca St E, Moose Jaw, SK.  Brian’s passion for sports brought him so much joy.  In his memory, family and friends are encouraged to wear their favourite Edmonton Oilers, Roughriders, or Blue Jays jersey.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian’s name may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2414, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4 or the Moose Jaw Christian Counseling Centre, 54 Stadacona St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1Z1.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

Colleen, Katelyn, Janelle, Brendon and families,

It was truly an honour to know Brian. I will always remember his kindness and his genuine, caring nature. He will be missed by so many. It’s so awesome to know that he is spending eternity with his Heavenly Father, and that he was reunited with his earthly dad. Find comfort in the memories you have and hold them close. We are praying for you at this difficult time in your lives.

Nothing can take away the pain of losing someone who is the world to you. But please know that for those of us who have worked with Brian, that he was the most wonderful and caring soul that anyone could ever meet. Always remember the saying that only the good die young. And for Brian that is so true. I worked with Brian for years and that was the best part of my carrier and always with be. What a perfect sense of humor he had. Hugs
