Thinking of you all, I know Joan will be missed.
I have such wonderful memories of Aunty Joan. She had the cutest giggle and was always happy and smiling. She and uncle Bill always welcomed us from the days in Canyon to Sorrento and Sunnybrae. Great times tabogganing, pony/horseback riding, hanging at the store, playing scat with the family at the reunions. She will be missed. Our sincere condolences and please let us know when you will be in Sorrento.
Sorry to read of your mom’s passing. Our thoughts are with you and all of your family.
I remember uncle Bill and Aunt Joan as great relatives. You were always welcome at their house whether you came alone or with friends or family. They always shared a meal and the latest news. Bill had a tremendous capacity for a plate full of potatoes. Joan always had kind words. When they lived in Sorrento, they would let’s us know when they were coming to Kamloops so that we could spend a night on the town starting with a good Ukrainian dinner.
I remember the two of them as very good dancers. Bill had a bad back and Joan would lookout for him so that he could move the next day. Bill had a theory that a male as a good dancer, never had to leave from one spot. Joan did all the real work when it came to tearing up the floor.
My. Brother Sam always enjoyed visiting Bill and Joan and we shared some good laughs regarding Bills old hats. Bill and Joan had several dogs that would always come out to greet you.
I will miss Joan as I have Bill. Some very fond memories of days gone by and time well spent together. Fun to remember the antics of Bill jr, Jim and David growing up. I still have some video some place.
