LESLIE WAYNE HENNEN
July 26th, 1953 – May 4th, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Wayne Hennen, at the age of 72 years.
Leslie was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. One years ago, he moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and resided at The Bentley Retirement Home until his health took a turn, and he spent the rest of his time living at Moose Jaw Special Care Home (formerly Extendicare).
Leslie was born on July 26th, 1953 to Winnifred and Albert Hennen, who predeceased him, along with his sisters: Marie, Florence, and Marilyn.
Leslie spent his life doing what he loved – Trucking. When he was not trucking, he was cleaning his Rig or travelling to spend time with his children between Ontario, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. He enjoyed making people laugh and kept his humor right up to his last moments with us.
Leslie will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, Gloria and Barb; brothers, Edward and Fred; numerous nieces and nephews; children: Sandra (Marc), Jason (Jodie), and Leslie Jr. (Lorraine); and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special mention to the staff at The Bentley Retirement Home, the care staff of Moose Jaw Special Care Home, and the staff at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for all your loving support and for taking the time to visit, as it meant a lot to Leslie.
A Celebration of Leslie’s Life will take place in July of 2026 in Moose Jaw, SK. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
