Fawna Jean Gould
It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Fawna Jean Gould at the age of 61 years, on Friday, January 2nd, 2026. Fawna was born June 13th, 1964 to Joe and Louisa Gould, the youngest of 6 kids and an indescribable gift to our family.
In her younger years, Fawna attended John Chisholm School and Diversified Services as an adult. While working at Diversified, Fawna met Jackie Adamache and they quickly became best friends. Jackie came to live with our family and the girls were inseparable. You’d often see Mom, Dad and “the Girls” at the Sportsplex, at the Bowling Alley, playing horseshoes, going to Bingo or gambling at the Casino. Everywhere they went, someone would stop to say hello.
After her father passed and her mother went into care, Fawna spent the next 10 years with her sister Caren, and Caren’s husband Bruce, on their farm. Farm living agreed with Fawna and she fit right in, always willing to help out whether it be in the kitchen, doing laundry, housework, or getting ready for the holidays.
Fawna loved it when family and friends dropped by and you can be sure she always had time for coffee and cookies. Coffee was always on!!!
Bruce had a special place in his heart for Fawna. They loved watching the Blue Jays and the Saskatchewan RoughRiders together but his teasing and making her laugh was the highlight of his day. No matter what she was doing or where we were going, she always had her bag of books and markers with her. Watching movies or listening to music while coloring was a favorite past time.
Fawna moved back to Moose Jaw to the Karis Disability Service Group Home in November of 2024, where her new family welcomed her with open arms. They loved Fawna’s gentle and sometimes mischievous ways and are heartbroken at the loss of our little angel.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Louisa; brother, Allen; and nephew, Barry. Fawna will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Barry (Micki) and David (Lorie); sisters, Elaine (Russ) and Caren (Bruce); numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends; as well as the wonderful staff at Karis Home.
