Learning of the death of my former classmate Jeannie Kerr Gaudet brought back many memories of Four Corners School north of Mazenod. The Kerr family lived a mile or so north of the school. I met them when I started in grade one in 1951. Jeannie, in grade 2, sat in front of me in our row on the right side by the door, away from the windows. Her older brother Stewart was one row to our left. Jimmy was in a higher grade and sat close to the windows facing east. Jimmy drove the family to school with a horse and buggy. Jeannie always helped me with my school work. I have always been thankful to her for that help, showing how caring she was even at that age. I send condolences to her family.
