Patricia Ruth (Dillon) Brown
It is with great sadness, but with treasured memories left behind, that we announce the passing of Patricia Ruth (Dillon) Brown “Patti”, aged 80 years, of Moose Jaw, SK on September 24, 2024 with Janice and Randy by her side.
Patricia was born July 29, 1944 in Moose Jaw, SK. She was the only child of Norah Jane (Shaw) and Wilfrid McNally Dillon. Patsy grew up on 4th Ave NW and attended St. Agnes School. While attending high school she decided she needed a more “mature” name and went by Patti. In 1961 she joined the Brown family and was welcomed as Sister-in-law and Auntie Patti. In 1962 she became Mom to Janice, her pride and joy. When she entered the workforce she wanted a more “professional” name and went by Pat. Whatever people called her you could tell what era you knew her from. Her last and most cherished name was Grandma Patti, which she was lovingly called by her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Janice (Randy) Stevens, her grandchildren: Joshua (Kathy) Stevens, Matthew (Megan) Stevens, Michelle (Sean) Peters, Karissa (Joseph) Klassen and her twelve great-grandchildren: Royce, Terri, Arla, Austin, Luke, Chet, Grant, Mark, Jaden, Dean, Thea and Grace. She will also be remembered by her one remaining Dillon cousin, Phil (Mary), many in-laws, nieces, nephews, dear friends (too many to list!) and Janice’s Dad, Jim.
Patti was predeceased by her parents. A comforting thought is that she is now reunited with her infant son, Shaun James, who passed October 12, 1968.
A Funeral Service for Patti will be held on Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Scott Elger will officiate, and burial will take place at the Old Moose Jaw Cemetery. For friends and family who are unable to attend you are invited to view the service virtually by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast//. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Cara Ashworth, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
