James “Jim” George Brown

November 14th, 1949 – December 6th, 2025

James “Jim” George Brown aged 76 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on Saturday, December 6th, 2025.  Jim was born on November 14th, 1949 to parents Norman and Doris Brown in Central Butte, SK.

Jim had a very special place in his heart for his dogs, leaving behind his beloved Zippy to miss him.  Jim was an easy talker and made friends with almost everyone, which is why he was awarded the “Top Salesman of the Year” while working at his favourite job, NAPA Moose Jaw, meeting so many wonderful people while working on the road.

Jim also loved to spend time at Lake Diefenbaker whenever he could.  As soon as the weekend rolled around, Jim and his wife Candy would load up the tent trailer and head out for a weekend of fishing.  Later, Jim was fortunate enough to find another special friend who shared the same passions and interests after Candy passed away.  He was happy to spend his final year fishing at Lake Diefenbaker with his special friend Terry and her son Nick.

He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Doris Brown; wife, Candace “Candy” Brown; and his beloved dogs.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Patti Biehn and her daughters; brother, Stuart (Carolyn) Brown and their son; special cousins; his four-legged best friend, Zippy; as well as many wonderful friends and extended family.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service held.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Jim’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Cara Ashworth, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

We were sorry to read of Jim’s passing, our deepest condolences to all of the family. When reading of Jim’s passing Glen and Ian reminisced in the many humorous escapades that they had shared with Jim in their teenage years, there were definitely a lot of great memories made!
