Sharen Anne Berry
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing our mom, and grandmother, Sharen Anne Berry (née: Lindquist) of Central Butte, Saskatchewan, on Friday, September 6th, 2024, with her family by her side, following a short battle with heart failure. Like everything Sharen did in life, she faced the end with dignity, humour, and courage.
Sharen was born on June 30th, 1953, to Annie (née: Wunsch) and Vernon Lindquist and was raised in the Aquadell district. She married Robert Berry on July 8th, 1972, and moved to the Berry family farm, south of Central Butte, where they raised their three children: Crystal Lynne, Dawn Michelle, and Douglas Edward.
Sharen was an extraordinary wife, mom, grandma, auntie, sister, and friend. She was a farmer, entrepreneur, expert mini donut scooper, trade show companion, and took great pride in being called the “best bookkeeper in Moose Jaw. She hated baking but her chocolate chip cookies were amazing. She also enjoyed sewing and crafting. There were many stuffed animals made over the years, as well as receiving blankets, clothing, cross stitch crafts and Christmas decorations. There was nothing that Sharen couldn’t do.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) Berry in January 2024; parents, Annie and Vernon Lindquist; brother, Larry Lindquist; and sister, Tami Smid. Sharen will be forever missed by her children: Crystal, Dawn, and Douglas (Melissa); grandchildren: Cody and Ashley Westermann, Iris, Isaac and Ian Berry; siblings: Keith (Nancy) Lindquist, Elaine (Gerald) Nistor, Arlene Nash, and David (Chantel) Lindquist; aunt, Judy Wunsch; many nieces, nephews and friends; as well as her work family at Tax Team.
A special thank you goes to the amazing care and compassion of the CCU unit at the Regina General Hospital.
In keeping with Sharen’s wishes, there will be a private family service, with a public memorial gathering to be announced at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Sharen’s name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
