Sharon Anne Ariss
We are saddened to announce the passing of Sharon Anne Ariss, aged 82 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, on Monday, August 24th, 2026. Sharon was born to William and Alice Norris on March 19th, 1944.
Sharon grew up in Moose Jaw and met her husband Robert Ariss in the early 1960’s. They were married on December 23rd, 1961, at the young age of 17, and were married for 64 years. Together they raised 3 children. Sharon worked as a cake decorator for many years at National Bakery and later at Safeway. She continued her love of baking and decorating into her retirement for family and friends, with lots of special birthday cakes being made. Her grandchildren were her greatest gift, and she loved attending all their events when she could.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Alice; brother, Don (Sue); and her great-grandson, Sterling. Sharon leaves to mourn: her husband, Bob; son, Greg (Louise); daughters, Bev (Murray) and Carmen (Dean); grandchildren: Kevin (Katelyn), Jordon (Nikki), Chris (Sequoia), Derek, Travis (Katelyn), Shaunda (Tyler), and Logan; and her great-grandchildren, Maddison and Blaire.
The family would like to thank Providence Place/Edgar Hall for the exceptional care they gave to Mom since 2024.
We love you and will miss you.
A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held on Friday, September 11th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Michelle Ellis, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
Dear Bob, Greg, Bev and Carmen,
I was shocked when cousin Lois sent Sharon’s obituary to me. I had tried to connect with Sharon off and on over the last year or so and no such luck. Now I understand that Sharon had health issues as well as you, Bob.
I have fond memories of time spent at the Norris house. I remember your winter wedding. I recall visits at Buffalo Pound Lake when you had your cabin/3 season cabin. I remember the time when we both lived in Melville and you came for Dale’s birthday. Lots of good memories.
Greg, Bev and Carmen, I remember all of you as kids but didn’t have the pleasure of knowing you as adults. Nowadays we move around a lot more than I did when I was young, resulting in family ties where the rope is stretched across the country.
My condolences to all of you. Keep Sharon’s life alive in your heart and talk about her every day. My mom has been gone 25 years and I still miss her and say some of the same silly things that she used to say.
Sharon was one of the good people here in this crazy world.
