Marjorie Jean Watson

We are deeply saddened to announce that Marjorie Jean Watson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 11th, 2023 at the age of 85 years.  Marjorie was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK.  She married Allan Watson on November 16th, 1957 and together they raised two children, Dave and Carolyn.  Marjorie worked as a CSR at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital.  She loved her position and even went back to work there after retirement.  Marj and Allan loved to dance and were avid Blue Jays fans.  She loved spending her days with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She always had ice cream treats in the fridge for them.  She spent her weekends having sleepovers with her grandkids.  Marjorie’s favorite pastime was the Casino.  She enjoyed putting 20 bucks in the penny machines and even hit it big a few times.  Bus trips and trips to Las Vegas were a favorite of Marj and Al.  Marj spent her evenings watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Allan Watson; mother, Rose Stevens; sisters, Annetta (Alvin) Emmons and Florence (Ed) Gies; sisters-in-law, Sarah (Gene) Garrioch and Pheme (King) Fitzsimmons; and brother-in-law, Reg (Audrey) Watson.  Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dave (Suzi) Watson; daughter, Carolyn (Kevin) Banilevic; grandchildren: Chris (Tara) Watson, Trevor (Jessica) Watson, Ashley Watson, Chantal (Eric) Leaman, Cody Banilevic and Conrad (Kyla) Abram; great-grandchildren: Grace, Oliver, Cali, James, Jace, Kinley, Kate, Lily, Jaxon, and Ella; as well as brother-in-law, Duncan (Pat) Watson and numerous other relatives.

In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes, a Private Family Service will be held at a later date.  The family would like to thank Laurie Emmons for all the meals and for being her casino buddy.  Also, to Dusti Wade for all of your help.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt Funeral Director 306-693-4550
