Ivy Marjorie Waruk

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Mother-in-Law, Sister, Sister-in-Law, Aunt and friend Ivy Marjorie Waruk, age 91, on Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 at Extendicare.  Born on October 10th, 1920, she was predeceased by her husband Joe, sister Doris Ingram, brother Harold Rainbird, son-in-law Bob Ludke, brothers-in-law John Waruk, Bernie Laing and Vic Lanphear; sisters-in-law Marie Rainbird, Joyce Waruk and Phyllis Waruk.  She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Carol (Jim) Diamond, granddaughter Janet (Sean), great-granddaughters Marissa, Karina, Linnea and Elora Mellor, grandson Jason (Brigitte Trudeau), great-granddaughter Sophie Ludke; sons: Bob (Shayla) Waruk, granddaughters Jill, Katie (Brock Hindle) and Alana Waruk; Ron (Charleen) Waruk, granddaughters Cherie (Marc Jubinville) Waruk, Aimee (Wes), great-granddaughter Tehya McDonald; Brent (Leslie) Waruk, grandchildren Victoria, Evan Waruk, Darren (Laura Fann) Dzamon, Kendall Dzamon, great-grandson Jaxon; sisters Phyllis Lanphear and Joan Laing; brother-in-law Andy Waruk; and many nieces and nephews.  She loved knitting, bingo, sports, camping, gardening, her dog Tiki and her many travel adventures with Joe, but her greatest love was her family.  She was proud of them all!  Daughter Carol and family would like to say a special thank you to the Extendicare staff for their loving care of Mom.  May you remember her great sense of humour (butt pinching and thumbs in her ears while waving).  A Private Family Interment will be held.
