It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Liz) Stratulat, who passed away on Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, at the age of 68 years.

Liz was born on April 14th, 1956, in Kayville, Saskatchewan, to George and Katie Majeran.  She was the second youngest of ten children.  Growing up in a such a large family instilled in her the enduring values of hard work and resilience, along with a generous and compassionate spirit.  Liz’s life was marked by her kindness, strength, and profound love for her family and friends.

Liz marched to the beat of her own drum with her strong and independent nature.  She had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor.  She loved to debate, no matter the topic, and her lively discussions will be fondly remembered by those who knew her.  Liz had a deep love for all sports and was especially passionate about the Saskatchewan Roughriders.  Her enthusiasm for the game and the team was infectious, and she was a loyal supporter through thick and thin.

She was predeceased by her father, George; mother, Katie; brother, Sam; brother-in-law, Dave, and sister-in-law, Betsy.  Liz is survived by her children: Christopher, January, and Steven; grandchildren: Hanna, Emily, Ostyn, and Cooper; brothers: Gordon (Joan), John, George (Pat), and Tom (Sharon); and sisters: Laura (Ron), Doreen, Gina, and Marina (Jonathan).  Liz’s legacy will live on through the many lives she impacted. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

To honour Liz’s life, a private family service will be held.  The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Dr. F.H Wigmore Regional Hospital for their care and kindness and request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 55 Diefenbaker Drive, Moose Jaw, SK S6J 0C2.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Cara Ashworth Funeral Director 306-693-4550
