Dorothy Bernice McPherson

Dorothy Bernice McPherson (nee Erickson) passed away peacefully at Extendicare Nursing Home with her family by her side on Wednesday, January 5th, 2011 at the age of 80 years.  Dorothy worked at Extendicare Nursing Home for 26 years and retired in 1995.  She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Agnes Erickson; husband, Don; son, Lorne Huber; grandson, Scott McPherson; sister Florence in infancy; and sister-in-law, Doreen Erickson.  Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her family, daughters Dianna (Les) Gray, Linda Huber, Carol (Jay) Odynski, Bonnie (Mark) Meikle and Tania (Ches) Meikle; daughter-in-law, Maria Huber; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Mervin Erickson; and her extended family, the McPhersons, Earl McPherson, Mae (Clarence) McGregor, Semla (Ian) Morrison, Janette Hauberg, Donna LaPlante; Mary McPherson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Dorothy was also predeceased by Gerald McPherson; Achie McPherson; son-in-law, Bill Hauberg; granddaughter, Lori Hauberg and grandson, Max Albertyine.  The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare and Dorothy’s former co-workers for all their compassion and loving care.  A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 11th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and burial will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK.
