McKECHNIE, THELMA

1910 – 2010

Our deep sense of loss and sorrow is tempered with joy in the memory of a life well lived. Thelma passed away peacefully in Moose Jaw, April 21st, 2010 in her 100th year. She was predeceased by her husband Earl, son Jim, daughter-in-law Tillie, seven siblings and two grandchildren. She is survived by her son Morley (Cathy); daughter Doreen (Garry); nine grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. Thelma and Earl enjoyed farming in the Gladstone School District for many years, then moved to Bethune in 1984. Thelma was a lifelong caregiver to many and always hospitably welcomed friends and family into her home. A celebration of Thelma’s life will be held in the Bethune Community Hall on Monday, April 26th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, for those so desiring, donations to the Bethune Cemetery Fund, Bethune United Church or a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
