William Steven Matity

William Steven Matity, aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13th, 2017.  He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Donna Drewitz; and brothers-in-law: Tim Watkins, Dan Straza, and Marlin Martinson.  Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jan; son, Martin (Heidi); brothers: George, Victor (Trudy), Louis (Carol), and John (Marilyn); sisters, Leona Straza and Velma Martinson; brother-in-law, Don Watkins (Marilyn); as well as many nieces and nephews.  Bill loved them all.  A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Harvey Room at Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Bill’s name may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, #1 – 2217 Hanselman Court, Saskatoon, SK S7L 9Z9 or the SaskTel Pioneers Foundation, 2nd Floor – 2121 Saskatchewan Drive, Regina, SK S4P 3Y2.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
