MARTIN, David John Lee

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, but a lifetime of precious memories, that we announce the passing our dad, David Martin on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 at the age of 93 years.  David was born on April 8th, 1927 in Semans, SK.  He was predeceased by his wife, Louise; father, John; mother, Myrtle; daughter, Pauline; brother, Jim; sisters: Josephine, Helen, Ella, Dorothy and Beth.  David will be lovingly remembered by his sons, George (Deb) and Garth (Lisa); sisters, Elizabeth and Edith, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

David grew up on a farm, worked at the Department of Highways and also worked with well drilling for over 15 years.  He enjoyed family gatherings, playing cards, golfing and reading books.  He will be forever remembered and sadly missed.

Special thanks to the staff at Providence Place.  Our family was blessed with your presence and compassionate care towards our Dad.

A Private Family Interment will be held to honour David.

Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550

I am the daughter of Helen Shier, and wish to express my deepest sympathy to all of you on the passing of your father and grandfather, Dave.
Dave was my uncle so I have many fond “old time” memories of tagging along with he and Edith. I always enjoyed his quick wit, humor and caring. Due to Covid, I am sorry I was unable to visit him this past summer.
Peace and comfort to you. Vivian Noy

Sorry to hear about Uncle Dave’s passing. I have many fond memories of Dave and Louise throughout the years.
During my youth Dave had a good influence on me as he was always honest with his opinions and I appreciated that trait.
Deepest condolences to Garth, George and family.

    Doug and Leah Wood
