Allan Glen Hicke

Allan Glen Hicke, born September 21st, 1947, in Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, at Pioneer Lodge in Moose Jaw.

Glen was the second oldest of four boys.  He farmed most of his life and was immensely proud of his Charolais cattle.  Glen also spent a lot of years cleaning up train wrecks.  He played baseball when he was younger and still bragged how he was the fastest player.  Glen also enjoyed country western music and travelled across Canada and the United States with friends to watch different shows.  He also like to spend time at the Casino trying his luck.

He was predeceased by his parents, Zach and Gertie Hicke; mother-in-law, Annie Kitchen; father-in-law, Ben Runzer; sister-in-law, Sandra Bokamyer; and brother, Wilfred Runzer.  Glen is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosanna; brothers: Jerry (Leona), Ralph (Lorna), and Kelvin (Joanne); brother-in-law, Clarence (Sandra) Runzer; and sister-in-law, Karen Runzer.  Glen will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends.  If you ever met Glen, you know he was unforgettable!

In keeping with Glen’s wishes, a private memorial will be held.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Andrew Pratt, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
