Emily Faye Friesen
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Emily Faye Friesen, aged 56 years of Edmonton, AB and formerly of Moose Jaw, SK on Tuesday, December 10th, 2019. She was predeceased by her mother, Helen; and son, Jason. Emily will be lovingly remembered by her father, Rudy Friesen; son, Steven (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaleb and Sofia; sisters: Maxine, Joan and Joanne; brother, Harold (Laura); nieces: Jill, Bobbi, Kelly, Morgan, and Jacqueline; as well as dear friends in Moose Jaw. Emily was born in Moose Jaw and received her training as a Special Care Aide. She started working at St. Anthony’s Home and then Providence Place in Moose Jaw. She later moved to Edmonton where she has resided until her passing. Emily will be remembered as a person with a big heart who loved to look after the needs of others, and cherished her grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Doug Shepherd will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Emily’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 – 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9. I knew Em and her friend Miss Proctor a long time ago when outdoor parties where the thing to do and later when her and Kenny got together. She had a kind heart and was very patient as many a hour passed when we would play cards and risk at their house on north hill.We weren’t the quietest bunch but she always was pleasant.I had not seen Em in years my sympathies to family and friends.
I would like Emily’s family to know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Emily was a very dear friend and coworker of mine. She was truley an amazing women and remarkable friend. She will be deeply missed!!
Although it has been a few years since we have last seen each other I still remember you from when we were all young. Condolences sent to all your family and friends.

Your mom was a loving and caring lady. I met her when my mom was at Zetters Care Centre. She was always sooo good to my mom. Emily and I chatted many times through these last few years. She will be deeply missed.
