Douglas John Henry Dempsey

Douglas John Henry Dempsey, aged 66 years of Moose Jaw, SK., passed away Friday, June 1st, 2012.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Padre Douglas Shepherd officiating.  Royal Canadian Legion Rites will be conducted by Mr. Marty Martell, Branch #59.  Doug was born December 20th, 1945 at Regina, SK.  His Military Service career from 1961 – 1994 had him being posted at Ottawa, Camp Borden, Portage La Prairie and Moose Jaw, where he would retire.  Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Runie Dempsey and sister Ina Jane.  Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Debbie; their children: Sean, Chris and Heather; and numerous other relatives.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, 268 High St. West, Moose Jaw, SK.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
