Coutts – Katherine Julia
Coutts – Katherine Julia of Central Butte passed away on February 18 th, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Katie was born in the Robin Hood district on August 30 th, 1916 to Joseph and Katherine Berger. Katie married Robert Coutts in 1942 and they farmed north of Chaplin until 1966 when they moved to Central Butte. Katie was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1971, her mother and father, three sisters Helen, Barbara and Margaret; and two brothers Martin and Frank. Katie is survived by her children Jean (Brian) Hartman of Wetaskiwin, Ab., Betty (Dean) Saltzman of Kingston,N.S., George (Donna) Coutts of Calgary, Ab., and Janet (Steve) Mackow of Central Butte, Sk.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; Warren Hartman, Grant Hartman, Robert (Kim) Coutts, Haiden Karsyn, Nathan and Noah, Toby (Brian) Welch, Chase and Quinlan, Heather(Gordon) Miller and Kurt, Judy (Jeremy) Juengel, and Linda Mackow. Brothers and sisters Joe, Paul, George, Albert, Mary, Eva and Anna as well as their families. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 23rd, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Central Butte. Fr. Tony Sevali will preside and interment will take place in Central Butte Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, February 22 nd, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.
