Ruth Evelyn Brooker
Ruth Evelyn Brooker (née: Gordon), aged 81 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away into the arms of God on Sunday, December 6th, 2020. Ruth was born in Verwood, SK on May 7th, 1939 to George and Annie Gordon. She was the youngest of nine children. Ruth graduated from Teachers College in 1958 and spent many years teaching in Moose Jaw. On July 30th, 1960 she married John Brooker. They were blessed with three sons: Jim, Bert and Ed.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, John; sons, Jim, Bert, and Ed (Cheryl); grandchildren: Joe, Krista, Tamara, Travis and Rachel; great-grandchildren: Heath, Wyatt, Isabella, Ayden and Nola; sister, Jean Cameron (Gordon); and brother, Bert Gordon. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s name may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 919B Albert St, Regina, SK S4R 2P6. Sincere condolences from our family in Calgary. I have many fond memories visiting Aunt Ruth, Uncle John and my cousins in Moose Jaw. I trust that we will see her again in the eternal home that our Lord prepares for all His children.
I have fond memories of Ruth when she was substitute teaching, always pleasant lady. Thinking of her family at this sad time, and sending condolences.
