BRENTNELL, Edward Roy

Roy, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 31st, 2013 at the age of 92 years.  He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Brentnell; brother, Jim Brentnell and wife Bertie; sister, Jean and her husband Bill Palmer; brother, Ralph Brentnell and brother-in-law, Howard Benson.  Roy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Neta; daughter, Judy (David) Webb; son, Doug (Wanda) Brentnell; grandchildren: Debbie (Larry) Davis, Lee Brentnell, Carlie Brentnell, Jared (Candice) Brentnell and Sarah (Kevin) Poole; great-grandchildren: Stephanie and Jessica Davis, Olivia and Nicholas Burlotti, Pierce and Madeline Brentnell.  Roy will also be remembered by his brother, Harvey (Erma) Brentnell and sister, Edith Benson.  Roy was born in 1920 in the Wesley District North of Boharm.  The Brentnell family moved to a farm south of Belle Plaine in 1929.  Roy and Neta (Palmer) were married on February 27th, 1943 and recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.  They lived in Belle Plaine where they raised their family.  Roy farmed in the Belle Plaine area until 1986 and retired to Moose Jaw.  He also worked as an agent for SGI for 38 years.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 8th, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane, Moose Jaw, SK.  Pastor Adam Driscoll will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  The family would also like to thank the staff at Extendicare Moose Jaw for the excellent care they provided to Roy.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Roy’s name may be made to the Salvation Army, National Processing Centre, P.O. Box 8200, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4W5.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Jeff Ofstie, Funeral Director. 693-4550.
