To all of Mike’s dear family, I am so very sorry for this horrible loss of your daddy, partner, son, brother, uncle, and cousin. I was one of Mike’s adult ed. teachers at Saskpolytech, spending much time in the classroom with him before he embarked upon his Psych Nursing path. I have always fondly thought of Mike as a very passionate, engaged, caring human being who had the ability to make lifelong friends with peers, teachers, and those who he helped along the way. Part of how he connected with people was with his genuine care, his twinkly eyes, and his smile. Mike was a special man who will be dearly missed by everyone who ever knew him. Take very good care of each other as you now walk this path without him physically by your side

Michael was a special man! My condolences to Ashley, Kaija, and family! I only knew Michael for a short time when he was in nursing school but I remember him as a smart, caring individual. He was never shy and made himself known. He stood out among his classmates as a passionate person. I could tell that psychiatric nursing was his calling. He made a difference every day. He will be missed!

Sending my sincere condolences on the loss of Michael.
I had the privilege of working with him as his psychiatric nursing instructor in Prince Albert. Michael was a gifted and dedicated student, and he had a special way of using his music to connect with clients. It was a true privilege to hear him play.
He made a meaningful difference in the lives of others and will be deeply missed.
