John Stephen Bennett

After a courageous five year battle with cancer, John Stephen Bennett of Mortlach, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, February 22nd, 2010 with his wife and daughter at his bedside. John was predeceased by his father Milan T. Bennett. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lori; daughter Rae-Lynn and step-son Arlow; his mother Margaret Bennett; his brother Peter, sister Milaina, his brother Lawrence (Diane)and their sons Leevon & Christian; step-son Clint; step-daughter Melody Ann and their families; Lori’s mother Leila Duffin; Lori’s sisters Marsha, Marilyn, Claris, Gwen and their families. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 26th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mortlach Community Hall with Jim Tenford officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 25th, 2010 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. John lived and loved life to the fullest. He was very much a people person, but his greatest joys in life were his wife Lori and daughter Rae-Lynn. John’s hobbies included car racing and gardening. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of John may be made to a charity of one’s choice or to the Bennett family.
