John Andrie

John Andrie, aged 78 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, November 22nd, 2014 with his family by his side.  John was born on September 11th, 1936 in Ormiston, SK.  He was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Flora; and brothers: Eli, Dan, Connie and Sager.  John will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lydia; daughters: Karen (Jerry) Wenarchuk, Kim (Terry) Schick and Janice (Aaron) Heintz; son, Daryl Andrie; grandchildren: Kerri (Kevin) Koch (Jordan, Jamie and Jessie), Terri (Matt) Riley (Cole, Liam, Abigail and Ayden), Jonathan Brown, Marc Heintz, Jesse (Tina) Wenarchuk (Daisy) and Mitchell Wenarchuk; brother, Wes (Helen) Andrei; sisters, Eva Stratulat and Rose (Harry) Boyanko; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.  John retired from the Moose Jaw Transit in 1993.  He was an avid musician and played in many bands throughout the years.  The family would like to thank Dr. Brown for all his care and compassion, also to the nurses on the 2nd floor of the Moose Jaw Union Hospital and the Allen Blair Cancer Centre.  Thank you for the care you gave to John.  A very special thank you to Wes Andrei and Allen Andrie for all of your help.  A Time of Fellowship will be held on Thursday, November 27th, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home, with a short program starting at 2:00 p.m.  Wes Andrei will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As John loved animals, donations in his name may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
