Russell Arthur MacLellan
Russell Arthur, a long time resident of Denare Beach, SK passed away quietly at the Regina General Hospital on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Russ was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Jeannette MacLellan, and younger brother Wayne. Russ is survived by his sister Diane (David) Foley of Moose Jaw, SK., niece Jennifer Foley of Moose Jaw, SK, as well as his aunts Mabel Sorenson of Peachland, BC; and Mabel Parchal of Flin Flon, MB and his uncle Stanley MacLellan of Merrett, BC. Also mourning the loss of Russ will be several cousins and his countless friends throughout the world. At Russ’s request there will be no funeral service. Russ did not live a long life, but he lived a good life and left a big footprint in his world!
I only found out today that Russ had died. What a sad piece of news that was. Russ and I were the best of friends when we were students at Brandon University in the early ‘70’s. I lived with Russ and his parents in the summer of 1974 when I worked for H. B. M. & S. in Flin Flon. What a summer that was. He was intelligent and generous to a fault, and I will never forget him. Rest I’m peace, my old friend.
