Collin Theodore Cossette
With sorrow, we announce the passing of Collin Theodore Cossette, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, on Friday, June 26th, 2026 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Collin was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 1st, 1954. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph “Ted” Cossette and mother, Lea Cossette. Collin is survived by his sisters: Karie and Bernie Rebeyka, Shawn (Seth, Joel, Noel), Jay and Kellie, Kalla and Nick ;Calla and Bill Gryba, Jason and Nicole, Amy and Colin Pitman (Lorelai, Max).
With Collin’s father in the RCAF, Collin grew up in many locations throughout the prairie provinces, Ontario and Ramstein, Germany. His career path led him to work at various businesses. In Saskatoon, SK he operated a vacuum repair shop on Broadway Ave in the mid 70’s (Allmake Vacuum Sales and Service) and then went on to sales in recreational vehicles at National Marine. After a time, Collin moved over to Merlin Motors where he was the sales manager. He settled in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to open and operate “Action Honda/Action Cycle” motorcycle shop until his passing.
Collin’s passion for motorcycles began with the purchase of his first motorbike in 1969. From that point on he was hooked and his collection of bikes grew. He travelled with a simple setup of motorbike, small tent, hammock and folding chair, exploring places like California, the Dakotas, and the Canadian Prairies. He loved the outdoors, and there was nothing that could replace the feel of the open road and the freedom of the ride. In addition to motorbikes, Collin’s passion grew into cars. He often owned rare or unique models throughout the years…a Fiat X19, Honda CRX, Lotus Cortina, Austin, Ford Capri, and VW Corrado.
Collin opened “Action Honda/Action Cycle” in 1986 in Moose Jaw where his business supported motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the area and beyond. In the early days of Action Cycle, he sponsored many young and upcoming motocross riders, hosted events, and travelled to Honda Dealer Conferences around the globe. Collin loved the motorcycle community that he had become absorbed in.
Collin loved spending the holidays with his family and would bring the most thoughtful presents for everyone. He was the “Cool Uncle” who gave motorcycle rides to anyone and who would sit with the kids to assemble pretty much any toy or gadget. He was always the gentlest soul.
A memorial service for Collin will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Collin’s name may be made to the Kidney Foundation, A3-116 103 St E, Saskatoon, SK S7N 1Y7, Diabetes Canada, 1000-170 University Ave, Toronto, ON M5H 3B3, or The Heart and Stroke Foundation, Box 2414, Toronto, ON M4P 1E4. I got to know Collin over the past 15 years through our Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group involvement. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed our many chats and long rides together over those years. Collin was always open about sharing his extensive motorcycle knowledge. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family and friends.
